Intensive In-Home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (IICAPS)

IICAPS provides intensive in-home services for families with children and adolescents experiencing serious emotional and behavioral problems including those who are returning to family following hospitalization or out of home placement, children at risk of hospitalization and children for which outpatient services are not sufficient to allow the child to remain safely in the family. In-home teams provide intensive intervention including therapy for the entire family, case management and systems intervention for 16-22 weeks. This service covers families living in Northern Middlesex County, Meriden and Wallingford. IICAPS accepts referrals from parents, DCF, schools and community providers. Services are provided on a fee for service basis. IICAPS also provides services for adolescents referred by probation via the Adolescent Clinical Treatment (ACT) program. This service covers all of Middlesex County, Meriden and Wallingford. ACT accepts referrals only from the probation department at Middletown Juvenile Court. Services are provided on a fee for service basis.
