Program Mission Statement


The MxCC Radiologic Technology Program is dedicated to educating and training students to become certified, professional, and competent technologists in the field of the Radiologic Sciences.

The Radiologic Technology Program supports the mission statement of Middlesex Community College and its commitment to excellence in the field of higher education where students are provided the opportunity to build a foundation for lifelong learning that include skills in critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, technological literacy, written and oral communication, understanding values of responsible citizenship, appreciation of other cultures, and knowledge of the methods and goals of inquiry.  

In addition, the Radiography program supports the mission statements of Middlesex Hospital Health System and the Middlesex Hospital Radiology Department in their quest for excellence in all aspects of imaging procedures.

The program is continually monitored for program effectiveness and satisfaction.



The mission statement outcomes are realized by the attainment of the following goals:

1. Students will acquire clinical competency and assessment techniques that help develop skills essential for safe and competent patient care in all Radiologic procedures.

2. Students will achieve sound problem solving and critical thinking skills necessary to function effectively in both routine and non-routine clinical situations.

3. Students will acquire professional behaviors and growth necessary to become effective radiographers.

4. Students will acquire above average communication skills necessary to function effectively in the clinical setting.
