Cardiologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases and high blood pressure. Patients are taught about techniques to prevent and control heart disease, and may participate in an individualized cardiac rehabilitation program at Middlesex Hospital following heart-related illness and/or surgery.

David Gallo, M.D.
Dr. Gallo, board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with additional certification in Cardiovascular Disease, is a senior attending cardiologist at Middlesex Hospital. A graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, Dr. Gallo completed his residency at University Hospitals, Case Western University. He has special interest in nuclear cardiology.
